Welcome to Cleantech Fact Check ("CFC", "We", or "Us"). By accessing or using our website and its associated sub-pages, including the Cleantech Recruiter Directory, the Media Database, and our Video Galleries (collectively, the "Site"), You agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").
I. OVERVIEW OF SERVICES AND THE CFC ECOSYSTEM
Cleantech Fact Check is a community-driven platform designed to provide online access to resources, data, and real-life stories. Our mission is to combat misinformation, myths, and lies regarding renewable energy by empowering the industry and the public with verified facts and professional connections.

CFC serves as a central hub for the clean energy industry to share verified data. We encourage users to copy, paste, and share verified facts from this Site across their professional and social networks. However, You agree not to modify the data or stories in any way that misrepresents the original context or creates further misinformation.
2. Cleantech Recruiter Directory
To support industry growth, CFC offers a directory of clean energy-focused recruiters.
- Professional Networking: This resource is intended to connect professionals with opportunities that accelerate their careers.
- Maintenance of Data: While we have tracked these recruiters for over 15 years, we acknowledge that personnel and focus areas may change. All contacts are sourced from publicly available information.
3. Voices from Across the Industry (Video Gallery)
Our Site features a Video Gallery showcasing the stories of people building clean energy.
- Content Origin: These video stories have been collected from across the industry to provide insights and authentic conversations.
- Submissions: If You have a video story You would like to share, contact us at cfc@cleantechir.com. By submitting media, You represent that You own the rights to the content and grant CFC a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute the video for advocacy and educational purposes.
4. Media Database
CFC provides a specialized database to help users connect with podcasters, journalists, and creators dedicated to accurate reporting on clean energy.
- Data Provenance: This database leverages over 15 years of tracked renewable energy-focused media contacts.
- Public Sourcing: All contacts are sourced from publicly available information.
II. DIRECTORY AND DATABASE DISCLAIMERS
a. No Guarantee of Accuracy
While CFC strives to maintain a high standard of data integrity, the information in the Media Database and Recruiter Directory is provided "as-is." We do not warrant that contact details, company affiliations, or professional roles are current, complete, or free from typographical errors. Because industry personnel move frequently, some data points may naturally become outdated.
b. No Endorsement or Affiliation
The inclusion of any recruiter, journalist, creator, or entity in our directories is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or sponsorship by CFC. We encourage You to perform Your own due diligence before engaging in professional relationships or financial transactions with any party listed on the Site.
c. Permitted Use and Anti-Spam Policy
These databases are provided exclusively for legitimate professional networking and individual outreach. You are strictly prohibited from using these resources for:
- Automated "Scraping": Using bots or software to harvest data in bulk.
- Mass Marketing: Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spamming) or marketing blasts to the contacts provided.
- Commercial Resale: Selling or redistributing our curated lists to third parties.
- Any violation of these usage terms may result in an immediate ban from the Site and further legal action to protect our proprietary data.
III. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- Spam & Phishing: Using Site contact details for unsolicited marketing, mass-mailing, or fraudulent activities.
- Interference: Taking any action that interferes with another party's use of the Site or damages the CFC brand.
Unauthorized use of the Site is a breach of this Agreement and may result in immediate termination of access and potential civil or criminal liability.
3. Intellectual Property
All Content on this Site, including, without limitation, text, design, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, video clips, downloads, interfaces, code, software, interactive features, the Media Database, and the Recruiter Directory (collectively, the "Content"), is the exclusive property of CFC, its licensors, or its contributors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
a. Permitted Use & Fact Sharing: You may access the Content to learn about clean energy. To further our mission, You are expressly encouraged to copy, paste, and share verified facts across Your networks. However, You may not modify or delete any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices. No additional right, title, or interest in any Content is transferred to You.
b. Restrictions: Except for the advocacy sharing mentioned above, You may not alter, upload, license, reverse engineer, sell, or derive other works from the Content. Use of Content for purposes competitive to CFC is expressly prohibited.
c. Database Integrity: You agree not to use contact information from our Media Database or Recruiter Directory for unauthorized purposes, including but not limited to mass-marketing, "spamming," automated "scraping," or phishing. Any hardware or software intended to damage the Site or surreptitiously intercept data is strictly prohibited and will result in a denial of access and potential legal consequences.
d. Copyright & Trademarks: The Site and Content are protected by U.S. and foreign copyright laws. You are prohibited from using any CFC marks or logos without express permission.
4. Indemnity
You understand and agree that You are personally responsible for Your behaviour on the Site. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CFC, its parent companies, subsidiaries, business partners, and employees from and against all claims, losses, expenses, and damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from: (i) Your use or misuse of the Site, the Databases, or the Content; (ii) Your violation of this Agreement; or (iii) Your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy or intellectual property rights.
5. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
"Confidential Information" includes, but is not limited to, Site source code, business plans, non-public analytical data, and documentation obtained while accessing the Site. You shall hold this information in the strictest confidence. You shall not, without the written approval of CFC, publish, copy, or use Confidential Information for Your own benefit.
6. Limitation of Liability
The information on this Site solely reflects the opinion of CFC and its contributors and is not intended to address specific professional or financial concerns. CFC does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of the Content, including the Media Database or Recruiter Directory, nor does it guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from viruses. AS PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOUR ACCESS TO THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
In consideration for Your use of the Site, You specifically agree that CFC shall have no liability for any losses or damages arising from Your use of the Content. You agree to waive, release, and hold CFC harmless from all claims, including but not limited to breach of contract, negligence, or negligent misrepresentation. You further release CFC from any consequential, indirect, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenues, or goodwill, resulting from Your reliance on the Site, regardless of how such damages arise.
7. Miscellaneous
a. Entire Agreement and Non-Waiver: These Terms of Use constitute the entire and integrated agreement between You and CFC regarding the Site, superseding all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written. No waiver by CFC of any term or condition set forth in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term, and any failure of CFC to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
b. Correction of Errors and Inaccuracies: The Content on this Site, including the Media Database and Recruiter Directory, may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. CFC reserves the express right to correct, update, or change any information at any time without prior notice. We do not, however, warrant or guarantee that any such errors will be corrected, and we assume no obligation to ensure the Content is constantly updated or current.
c. Discontinuation and Site Modification: CFC reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue any aspect of the Site, including but not limited to the Video Gallery and professional databases. You agree that CFC shall not be liable to You or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Site or any specific service or feature offered through the Site
d. Governing Law and Venue: The validity, construction, and enforcement of these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You hereby irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in New York City, New York, for all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Site.
e. Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent necessary such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
